Bobby Taghavi

Bobby Taghavi is the National Managing Partner of Sweet James Accident Attorneys, one of the largest personal injury firms in the country, with offices in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Georgia. Bobby has tried over 90 cases to jury verdict and has handled numerous bench trials across nearly two decades of practice. His trial experience spans catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and complex civil litigation.

Before entering private practice, Bobby spent 12 years as a Senior Deputy District Attorney at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, where he was assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit, the Gang/Target Unit, the Special Operations Unit, and the Golden State Killer Task Force. He has conducted jury trials as a prosecutor, a defense attorney, and a plaintiff’s trial lawyer, giving him perspective on how cases are built, challenged, and tried from every angle of the courtroom.

As National Managing Partner, Bobby oversees firm-wide litigation strategy and attorney performance across all Sweet James offices. He personally handles significant catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Bobby served as President of the Association of Orange County Deputy District Attorneys, as a Board member of the Orange County Attorney’s Association, and as faculty for the Orange County District Attorney’s training unit, teaching trial advocacy to prosecutors. He has also conducted training for law enforcement agencies, victim advocacy organizations, law schools, and universities. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) and the Consumers Attorneys Association Of Los Angeles (CALAA).

Bobby is a frequent legal commentator providing expert analysis on high-profile criminal and civil matters. His television appearances include CBS News Los Angeles, KCAL News, Court TV, CW7 Arizona, and Spectrum News. His commentary has been published by Reuters, Forbes, Fox News, People, TMZ, the New York Post, US Weekly, the Daily Mail, The Sun, The Mirror, OK! Magazine, A&E, the Mercury News, CNN, ABC News, the International Business Times, and the Irish Star, among others. Bobby earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
