Hugo Ortega

Hugo Ortega is an Arizona attorney with more than a decade of courtroom experience and hundreds of trials. He genuinely enjoys being a lawyer and is known for providing practical, clear guidance to clients facing complex and often high-stress legal issues. Hugo also values the constant learning and multifaceted nature of legal practice. He has served as a prosecutor, family law attorney, and defense attorney, and has also practiced in probate and dynasty estate planning.

Hugo has been married for 18 years to his amazing and talented wife, and together they are raising three wonderful children. Being a father is his greatest joy. He loves spending time with his family, from weightlifting or playing jiu jitsu with his son to biking, getting drawing lessons from his daughters, and reading comic books with all of his kids. Whether they are watching and making movies, playing soccer, going on walks or drives, geocaching, traveling, having meaningful conversations, or simply laughing together, family life is where Hugo finds purpose and perspective. It also strongly influences how he approaches his work.

An Arizona native, Hugo earned his law degree from Arizona State University. He is fluent in Spanish and Japanese and values faith, family, integrity, and genuine connection–striving to bring those principles into every aspect of his personal and professional life.
