Unidentified Female Driver Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident near Highway 2

SPOKANE, WA (March 28, 2024) – Sunday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a two-vehicle collision on East Deer Park Milan Road.

First responders arrived to the scene shortly before 10:00 a.m., just west of Highway 2 on March 3rd.

For reasons under investigation, the female driver of an SUV lost control and veered over the center divider. As a result, the SUV collided with an oncoming Ford F-250 pickup-truck.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the female driver of the SUV deceased. Although, police have not yet released her name or place of residency.

Personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations before it was later reopened.

Meanwhile, medics treated the Ford driver for minor injuries.

Following preliminary duties, speed and slick road conditions are suspected to be the factors of the crash. At this time, further investigation into the fatal two-vehicle collision on East Deer Park Milan Road is still currently underway.
