4-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near 55th Way

LONG BEACH, CA (March 27, 2024) – Friday evening, a pedestrian crash on Paramount Boulevard claimed the life of a young girl. 

Dispatchers received calls in the area shortly before 7:00 p.m., near 55th Way. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim lying in the roadway with serious injuries. 

Based on initial investigation, the driver of a 2020 Ford F-150 hit the female pedestrian while traveling eastbound on 55th Way. 

Responding medical personnel transported the female pedestrian to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, the Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the identity of the deceased woman has not been released to the public.
