Multiple Hospitalized after DUI Collision near Alta Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 27, 2024) – Late Sunday afternoon, Jessica Guerra was arrested after a DUI accident on Floral Avenue.
The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m., near Alta Avenue just north of Dinuba.
Officers say the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu drove through a posted stop sign while heading west on Floral. Consequently, the Malibu collided with a Ford Expedition, sending the Chevy airborne before landing on its roof.
Responding emergency medics airlifted the Malibu driver and the 43-year-old male passenger to a hospital for further treatment.
In addition, three other occupants in the backseat of the Malibu were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, the occupants of the Expedition did not sustain injuries.
Authorities later identified the Malibu driver as 24-year-old Jessica Guerra, of Selma. Following preliminary duties, police arrested Guerra for driving under the influence.
