20-Year-Old Male Rider Pronounced Dead after Van vs Motorcycle Collision near West 4th Street

ANTIOCH, CA (March 26, 2024) – Late Wednesday afternoon, a dirt-bike collision on L Street claimed the life of a male motorcyclist. 

Officers responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m., near West 4th Street.

Per reports, a dirt-bike rider was speeding while heading south on L Street. For reasons under investigation, the rider ran past a posted stop sign and struck a white van that was entering the intersection.

First responders pronounced the 20-year-old male rider of the dirt-bike dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released his identity.

Meanwhile, emergency crews rushed the 52-year-old man driving the van to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
