46-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Dobson Road

MESA, AZ (March 19, 2024) – Late Tuesday evening, Michael Clark was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on US 60.

Police responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Dobson Road on March 12th.

Officers say the 18-year-old female driver of a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling at high rates of speed. The Chevy was unable to slow down in time and rear-ended a motorcyclist in the HOV lane, ejecting him into a concrete wall.

Upon impact, the Chevy driver stopped and attempted CPR on the victim. However, 46-year-old Clark later succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Corvette driver remained uninjured and it is unknown if she will be facing charges. An active investigation is currently ongoing.
