44-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on Spur 601 East

EL PASO, TX (March 11, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, Lori Pollard was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Spur 601 East.

The incident occurred just after 5:00 a.m., on February 29th.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the female pedestrian and immediately fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.

First responders located 44-year-old Pollard down on the road with no signs of life. Due to the extent of her condition, medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, authorities released a statement that the suspect vehicle is a white box truck. Moreover, the Special Traffic Investigators is handling further investigation, and any witnesses are urged to call them at 915-832-4400 or through Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477.
