59-Year-Old Man in Wheelchair Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on Northbound Highway 351
ABILENE, TX (March 11, 2024) – Thursday, Donan Myron Justice was killed and Robby Hale and John Gonzales were arrested after a hit-and-run crash.
Dispatchers responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., on the northbound lanes of Highway 351 on February 29th.
According to reports, the driver of an eastbound vehicle struck a man who was on a wheelchair. Upon impact, first responders located Justice down on the road with serious injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 59-year-old Justice deceased.
Following preliminary duties, police arrested 37-year-old Hale and 58-year-old Gonzales with second degree felony accident involving death.
