47-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Nellis Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 21, 2023) – Sunday evening, Roman Romero-Cruz was killed in a pedestrian crash on Washington Avenue.

Around 6:40 p.m., police responded to the scene at the 4800 block of Washington Avenue near Nellis Boulevard on December 10th.

Officers determined that 47-year-old Romero-Cruz crossed Washington outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a westbound 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe struck the pedestrian.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced Romero-Cruz dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Chevy driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Impairment was not suspected as a factor of the incident. An active investigation is currently underway.
