28-Year-Old Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident near East Arlington Avenue

FORT WORTH, TX (January 11, 2024) – Sunday evening, a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of Erica Clarnell Richardson.

The incident happened last November 19th just before 8:40 p.m. at the 2200 block of New York Avenue near East Arlington Avenue.

According to the Fort Worth Fire Department and Police Department, the collision involved only one vehicle, and it was driven by a male driver with 28-year-old Richardson, as a passenger.

Furthermore, the detectives learned that the driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree. They found the vehicle with serious damages, police added.

Consequently, the MedStar EMS transported the man and Richardson to the hospital. While they were on their way, the paramedics provided life-saving efforts to Richardson.

Personnel from the Harris Methodist pronounced Richardson dead. Meanwhile, the driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but has since been reopened to the public.

At this time, an active investigation is ongoing.
