Three Pronounced Dead after Speeding Accident near Milepost 76

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (December 20, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, three victims were killed in a speeding collision on Interstate 10.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near milepost 76 on December 17th.

Per reports, the driver of a speeding Toyota Highlander was heading east and struck two people standing outside of a disabled truck.

Medical personnel pronounced the driver and passenger from inside the truck dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted three others to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Due to the extent of their condition, crews later pronounced one of the victims that was airlifted deceased. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be released about the speeding collision on Interstate 10.
