Pedestrian Crash near North Kelly Road Left 60-Year-Old Man Killed

NAPA, CA (July 19, 2023) – Late Saturday night, Heleodoro Marin Martinez died in a pedestrian versus auto collision on Highway 29. 

Officers responded to the crash around 11:25 p.m., just north of North Kelly Road. 

According to reports, Martinez was walking eastbound in the area when he traveled into the path of a 2013 Cadillac CTS. The teenaged girl driving the Cadillac was unable to avoid him in time and struck him with her vehicle. The impact of the collision caused Martinez to sustain serious injuries.

Emergency crews at the site of the collision pronounced 60-year-old Heleodoro Marin Martinez, of Napa, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the teenage driver and her young female passenger did not sustain any injuries in the collision. 

Following the crash, crews shut down the areas of the road surrounding the collision to perform cleanup and preliminary duties.
