2 Dead in Traffic Accident near Pampa Avenue

MESA, AZ (July 11, 2023) – Early Friday morning, two people died following a crash near Alma School Road and Pampa Avenue.

On June 23rd, officers were dispatched to the area, just south of Guadalupe and north of the Western Canal.

According to the police, a vehicle with two passengers struck a curb and ended up hitting a pole for reasons currently unknown.

Unfortunately, the passenger sustained extreme injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medics.

Furthermore, the driver was transported to the hospital where he later died due to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the crash blocked Alma School Road in all lanes between Pecos Avenue and Elliot Road for additional investigation.

Authorities have yet to release the identities of any party involved at this time, additional information will be updated as it becomes available to the public.
