Multiple Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident near Walnut Creek BART Station

SAN RAMON, CA (March 31, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, several victims were injured in a bus collision on Ygnacio Valley Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 4:00 p.m., near the Walnut Creek BART station.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that at least three cars and a commuter bus for the Bishop Ranch Business collided.

Following preliminary duties, Con Fire says a speeding vehicle exiting Highway 680 in wet road conditions contributed to the crash.

At least five ambulances were dispatched and multiple tow-trucks were called to clear out the scene. Responding personnel transported multiple people, including one in critical condition, to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

San Ramon Officials closed the off-ramp from northbound 680 to Ygnacio Valley Road during cleanup and preliminary duties.
