Multiple Vehicles Crash on I-10 Leaving Four Dead
BENSON, AZ (March 15, 2023) – On Friday, a crash claimed the lives of Lamar Bryant, Desi Draught, Adolfo Valdez, and Claudia Espinoza.
It happened on March 10th at around 8:09 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near milepost 306.
According to the Arizona DPS, the incident involved a tractor-trailer, a passenger car, and two commercial vehicles.
Investigators have learned that the tractor was traveling westbound when it crossed the center median at milepost 306 and crashed into a commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle, both traveling eastbound.
Furthermore, the vehicles that were struck were occupied by 36-year-old Bryant, and 47-year-old Draught, both from New Orleans, 30-year-old Valdez, and 50-year-old Espinoza, both from Moorpark CA.
In addition, the fourth vehicle tried to avoid the wreck when it swerved and went into the bushes. It was unknown if there were injuries in the fourth vehicle.
Meanwhile, all four of them were pronounced dead. The eastbound lanes of I-10 were temporarily blocked and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
At this time, the officers were unable to determine why the tractor-trailer crossed the center median. An active investigation is still underway.
