One Dead after Bicycle Crash on Taylor Road [Roseville, CA]

Bicycle Crash on Taylor Road near Stonehouse Court Leaves Cyclist Dead

ROSEVILLE, CA (February 6, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, a bicycle crash on Taylor Road left one cyclist fatally injured.

The incident happened on January 31st, at around 5:00 a.m., near Stonehouse Court.

According to reports, a bicyclist was weaving in and out of the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle. Witnesses state that the area had limited street lighting.

Following the collision, the driver pulled over and stayed onsite until emergency crews arrived, and then cooperated with authorities.

Due to the extent of his condition, first responders pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. At this time, officials have not released the identity of the deceased victim.

Meanwhile, crews closed down access to the eastbound Interstate 80 from Taylor Road for cleanup and preliminary duties. Investigations into the fatal bicycle crash are currently underway.
