Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Campbell Avenue 

PHOENIX, AZ (February 3, 2023) – Saturday night, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on 24th Street.

Around 8:00 p.m., police responded to the scene near Campbell Avenue on December 31st.

According to reports, the driver of a northbound vehicle was traveling through a green light and struck a woman who was crossing within the marked crosswalk.

First responders arrived and declared the unidentified woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver remained and cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, officials are unsure as to why the pedestrian crossed the street against the light. 

The Phoenix police department continues to investigate the crash on 24th Street and will release additional information as it becomes available.
