One Airlifted after Two-Vehicle Collision near Mockingbird Avenue
APPLE VALLEY, CA (November 18, 2022) – An unidentified driver sustained injuries Sunday evening, in a head-on collision on Rock Springs Road.
The incident happened around 6:14 p.m., near Mockingbird Avenue on November 6th.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a red 2008 Ford Ranger veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a red Toyota Corolla. As a result, the Ford flipped over and came to a stop on its roof.
Responding paramedics then airlifted the Ford driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver did not sustain injuries from the crash.
At this time, authorities have not released the names of any of the parties involved.
Moreover, police officials temporarily blocked off westbound Rock Springs Road in order to secure and investigate the crash.
Apple Valley authorities will release additional information about the collision at Rock Springs Road as soon as they become available.
