Man Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident near Interstate 8

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 17, 2022) – Monday evening, a male pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on Fairmont Avenue.

The accident occurred around 9:20 p.m., near the I-8 on-ramp on October 3rd.

As per reports, the man was walking near the freeway on-ramp when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver then fled the scene without stopping and rendering aid.

When paramedics arrived, they found the pedestrian with major injuries and transported him to Scripps Mercy Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
