3 Injured in Big-Rig Accident on Interstate 80 [Vacaville, CA]

Three Hurt in Semi-Truck Collision near Davis Street

VACAVILLE, CA (August 31, 2022) – Early Monday morning, three victims sustained injuries in a big-rig accident on Interstate 80.

Emergency crews responded to the scene just after 5:00 a.m., near the David Street off-ramp.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a westbound big-rig lost control and struck another vehicle. The semi-truck then hit the center median before spilling tomatoes onto both the east and westbound lanes of the freeway.

First responders located one victim with major injuries while two others sustained minor injuries.

At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. Once available, further details will be provided.
