One Dead, One Injured in Wrong-Way Auto Accident near Northern Avenue
CHANDLER, AZ (June 17, 2022) – Late Saturday night, one person was killed in a wrong-way collision on State Route 51.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight on State Route 51 near Northern Avenue. At this time, the involved vehicles have not been identified by authorities.
Responding officers, however, declared one person dead as a result of the collision. Investigators are currently withholding the victim’s identity until notification of next of kin.
Crews also closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Chandler Police are still investigating the deadly wrong-way accident and will release updates once become available.
