Driver Arrested after Suspected DUI Crash on West Turquoise Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 7, 2022) – Saturday evening, Morgan Rene Arvizo died in a hit-and-run crash on North Rancho Drive, police said.

On June 4th, Vegas Officials stated the crash occurred on North Rancho Drive and West Turquoise Road.

Per initial reports, Arvizo was riding a motorcycle traveling southbound when a pickup truck heading northbound struck him for reasons unknown.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the truck driver attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by authorities.

Additionally, the driver was taken to Clark County Detention Center with DUI and hit-and-run charges. Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation into the crash is underway.
