Rider Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Accident on East Speedway
TUCSON, AZ (May 31, 2022) – Monday, Gage Bastian was killed in a speeding motorcycle collision on Jones Boulevard.
The incident occurred at the intersection of North Jones Boulevard and East Speedway on May 23rd.
According to reports, Bastian was speeding west on a motorcycle when a driver turned in front of him. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Due to the impact of the collision, medical personnel pronounced 26-year-old Bastian dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Failure to yield by the car and speeding by Bastian were “major contributing factors in the collision,” according to Tucson Police.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
