Traffic Accident on Melba Drive Left One Fatality

MADERA, CA (May 20, 2022) – Saturday evening, a vehicle crash on Avenue 17 claimed the life of one person, police said.

The accident happened on Avenue 17 and Melba Drive around 10:00 p.m., according to authorities.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed that a GMC truck crashed into a Hyundai sedan, resulting in the death of one person on Avenue 17.

The truck fled the scene after the collision but was later caught hiding in a vacant lot. He was arrested under suspicion of DUI, and also sustained minor injuries.
