1 Driver Dies Following Wrong-Way Collision near State Route 18
PRESTON, WA (April 25, 2022) – Monday afternoon, one unidentified victim was killed in a head-on crash on on Interstate 90.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred around 2:30 p.m., when an eastbound vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and collided with another vehicle head-on.
Due to the impact of the crash, the driver that crossed over the lane died at the scene.
Meanwhile, responding medics took the other driver to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Although, authorities withheld the name of both drivers until their family members are notified.
Furthermore, officials closed off the westbound I-90 for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, Preston Police continue to investigate the fatal head-on crash and will release updates once available.
