Rider Ejected and Hospitalized after Collision near San Jacinto Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 21, 2022) – Friday evening, medics sent one rider to a hospital after a vehicle collision on Imperial Avenue.
The crash happened in the 5200 block of Imperial Avenue, near San Jacinto Drive, around 8:45 p.m.
Per reports, the 38-year-old motorcyclist attempted to pass into a 2016 Cadillac turning left into a marked left turn lane. There, the motorcycle struck the side of the Cadillac driven by a 57-year-old man.
The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle onto the road. Paramedics transported the rider to a nearby hospital for further treatment of various injuries. Medical personnel say the motorcyclist is expected to survive.
At this time, further circumstances surrounding the accident are still under active investigation.
