23-Year-Old Woman Killed in Solo-Car Crash near Grapevine Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 29, 2022) – Tuesday evening, an auto accident on Interstate 5 left 23-year-old Andriena Mia Rea dead.

The accident happened around 11:00 p.m., in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 on March 22.

Per reports, 23-year-old Rea was the passenger inside of a vehicle that crashed into a hillside south of Grapevine Road in Lebec. She died from her injuries on scene at 11:21 p.m., about 20 minutes after the initial incident.

Following preliminary investigations, crews believe the vehicle may have been racing with another vehicle before the driver lost control and flipped the car.

It is still unclear if alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
