Yolanda Vick Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 60 Freeway [South El Monte, CA]

Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Santa Anita Boulevard

SOUTH EL MONTE, CA (March 24, 2022) – Monday morning, Yolanda Vick was identified as the driver involved in a pedestrian crash on 60 Freeway.

California Highway Patrol officers received reports of the incident around 2:45 a.m., on eastbound 60 Freeway near Santa Anita Boulevard.

Investigators say 50-year-old Vick, of Hemet was driving east in a 2016 Toyota RAV4 in the No. 1 lane. There, Vick struck a male pedestrian who was wearing dark colored clothing in an unlit area.

Due to the impact of the collision, the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries. Medics arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, emergency crews took Vick to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

California Highway Patrol officers announced a SigAlert blocking lanes 1 to 3 at 3:00 a.m., before the area was reopened around 4:45 a.m. Although, an active investigation into the deadly pedestrian collision continues.
