Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Crash on Azusa Avenue

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (March 17, 2022) – Sunday evening, Arlene Rios was killed in a pedestrian collision on Azusa Avenue.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:40 p.m., in the 1600 block of Azusa Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

At this time, the circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a passing vehicle.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the female pedestrian to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Later on, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased pedestrian as 25-year-old Arlene Rios from Hacienda Heights.

At this time, City of Industry Officials are still currently investigating the pedestrian crash.
