Gail Bronson Dies in Head-On Crash on Thousand Palms Canyon Road [Indio, CA]
81-Year-Old Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Accident on Dillon Road
INDIO, CA (March 17, 2022) – 81-year-old Gail Bronson died Monday afternoon, in a head-on crash on Thousand Palms Canyon Road.
The incident occurred around 3:29 p.m., on March 14. Emergency crews responded to the scene near the corner of Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillion Road
Bronson reportedly let her Toyota drift to the right and onto the dirt shoulder. She then swerved to the left, causing the Toyota to travel southbound in the northbound lane.
Shortly after, Bronson’s car collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan vehicle. Upon impact, the Toyota overturned and landed on its roof within the dirt shoulder.
Responding medics took Bronson to Desert Regional Medical Center where she later died. Meanwhile, other medics rushed the Nissan driver to Desert Medical Center with moderate injuries.
At this time, officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Once available, further details will be provided.
