Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Parkridge Avenue
NORCO, CA (March 11, 2022) – A pedestrian accident on Parkridge Avenue left one person killed Friday evening, authorities said.
The fatal collision took place in the area of First Street, just east of Parkridge Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 11:09 p.m.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area. However, further events leading up to the collision still currently remain unclear.
Crews located an unconscious and severely injured pedestrian on the ground upon arrival. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries and remained at the scene for further investigation. The result of the initial investigation showed that intoxication did not play a factor in the strike.
During the investigation into the accident area, officials shut down First Street between Parkridge and Mountain Avenue.
