2 Dead, 1 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Near near Clinton Keith Road
WILDOMAR, CA (February 21, 2022) – Saturday morning, Isaac Barrera and Eliyu Arellano died in a two-vehicle crash on the 15 Freeway.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:50 a.m. on February 19th near Clinton Keith Road.
CHP said the Mercedes-Benz carrying the two had been traveling at more than 100 mph when it made an unsafe lane change on the freeway, sideswiping a northbound Ford Escape.
The driver of the Mercedes then lost control of the car, which rolled over multiple times.
It was not immediately clear who was the driver and who was the passenger.
Police said both were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver, a 26-year-old Santa Ana man, sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are currently launching an active investigation into the fatal collision, more information will be updated as it becomes available.
