Female Driver Dies in Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Alvin Avenue

SANTA MARIA, CA (February 11, 2022) – Police said a female driver lost her life on Tuesday night following a two-vehicle crash on Beth Court.

The collision occurred around 7:00 p.m., in the area of Beth Court and Alvin Avenue.

According to authorities, a car driver made an unsafe turning movement while driving the wrong way, colliding head-on with a truck.

First responders arrived and airlifted the female driver of the car to a nearby hospital with a serious head injury. The woman, only described as a Santa Maria resident, died at the hospital as a result of her injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries. Authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
