3 Teen Boys Dead after Car Crash on West Briggsmore Avenue

MODESTO, CA (February 8, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon Aalvin Chhue, Jayden Chhue, and Jose Espinoza were killed in a car crash on Carver Road.

The vehicle collision happened around 4:15 p.m., on Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue.

Investigators say the driver of the vehicle ran a red light and crashed the vehicle. Although, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.

First responders arrived and declared two people dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the third occupant to a local hospital where they later died.

Authorities identified the victims as Aalvin Chhue, 17, and Jayden Chhue, 15, and Jose Espinoza, 16.

Modesto Officials later arrested 20-year-old Dearing Koeur for vehicular Manslaughter and child endangerment charges.

At this time, authorities continue to investigate the fatal collision.
