Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident on 105 Freeway [Downey, CA]

One Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Collision near 605 Freeway

DOWNEY, CA (January 27, 2022) – One pedestrian was fatally struck Saturday night, in a deadly accident on the 105 Freeway.

Emergency crews received reports of the collision around 9:30 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the highway.

According to reports, a pedestrian was walking near the 605 Freeway when they were hit by a passing vehicle. Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Authorities issued a Sig Alert for the transition between eastbound 105 Freeway to northbound 605 Freeway. Although, authorities have not released further details.

At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be given.
