Dwayne Faughn Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 255 [Eureka, CA]

49-Year-Old Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Startare Drive

EUREKA, CA (January 26, 2022) – 49-year-old Dwayne Faughn died in a multi-vehicle collision on State Route 255, Monday night.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 9:00 p.m., near Startare Drive by Woodley Island.

Per reports, Faughn was driving a 2000 Lexus south on the highway when he collided head-on with a northbound 2020 Jeep.

Due to the impact of the collision, responding medics pronounced Faughn dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, others involved in the crash included a 6-year-old in the Lexus. Moreover, the driver and passenger of the Jeep, who also suffered major injuries were taken to St. Joseph Hospital.

Shortly after the collision, a southbound 2008 Ford slammed into the stationary vehicles, causing its driver minor injuries.
