3 Teens Pronounced Dead after Auto Accident near Foothill Boulevard

PASADENA, CA (January 20, 2022) – Andyn Bae, Eric Gullekson, and Nicholas Torres died in a crash on Michillinda Avenue, Sunday evening.

According to initial reports, the collision occurred just before 8:30 p.m., near Foothill Avenue.

Officers say Bae was driving a silver 2005 Honda on Michillinda Avenue and lost control for reasons unknown. As a result, the Honda crashed into a raised concrete curb edge and a nearby chain-link fence.

The Honda then continued into the freeway embankment and rolled over, coming to rest in the freeway overpass.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders pronounced 17-year-old Bae and his 16-year-old passenger, Gullekson dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Torres was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

At this time, Pasadena Officials are still currently working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
