Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 155 Results in One Fatality

WOFFORD HEIGHTS, CA (December 14, 2021) – Jon Robert Turner, 46, died Sunday in a tragic multi-vehicle collision on Highway 155.

The fatal accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on December 5 on Highway 155 near Wofford Heights.

California Highway Patrol officers discovered that Turner and another driver collided on the highway under unknown circumstances.

Upon impact, both drivers got out of their vehicles to exchange information when an oncoming Mitsubishi Outlander hit Turner and drove into one of the cars.

Responding officers arrived and pronounced Turner dead at the scene due to the extent of his condition. Meanwhile, the other two drivers did not sustain injuries.

Moreover, police closed the area for several hours to give way for clearing operations.

An active inquiry is still continuing at this moment. Wofford Heights police will update more information when it becomes available.
