Wrong-way Crash near Crackerbox Road on Highway 120 Hospitalized Man

OAKSDALE, CA (November 29, 2021) – A man was hospitalized last Tuesday, following a crash on Highway 120 near Crackerbox Road.

Authorities said the crash occurred just before noon.

The man, a 33-year-old Modesto resident, was driving his Toyota westbound when his vehicle drifted to the eastbound lane.

It struck the front of an eastbound Peterbilt tractor trailer. His name has yet to be released as of this time.

Meanwhile, the truck driver, a 52-year-old man from Turlock, was not injured.

The incident forced the roadway closed for nearly three hours.

According to the California Highway Patrol, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

They have yet to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
