At Least One Person Killed after Car Accident in Canal at Fruitvale Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 24, 2021) – One individual died tragically after a car accident in a canal at Fruitvale Avenue on Sunday.

The crash occurred around 8:19 a.m. at Fruitvale Avenue and Snow Road on November 21.

California Highway Patrol said the events leading to the collision remain unknown, however,  responding officers located one person dead at the scene.

At this time, authorities did not name the victim and did not mention other injuries from the crash.

In addition, CHP said a fully submerged car was reported.

Bakersfield authorities are now working to investigate the circumstances surrounding the car accident at Fruitvale Avenue.
