Wrong-Way Collision on State Route 87 near East Oak Street Left One Fatality

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (November 16, 2021) One person died and one other was left injured after a wrong-way collision on State Route 87.

The fatal crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. last Thursday, as per the report.

According to the Salt River Police Department, two vehicles crashed head-on for reasons unknown.

Furthermore, emergency crews took one of the drivers to a local hospital where they unfortunately died due to their injuries.

Additionally, another individual injured in the collision was brought to the hospital and their condition is currently unknown.

Moreover, both directions of the road were closed for cleanup and preliminary duties.
