Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck near Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica
SANTA MONICA, CA (November 16, 2021) – A pedestrian hit-and-run crash on 10th Street claimed the life of Paul Sigler on Saturday.
The incident happened in the area of 10th Street and Pico Boulevard, around 8:00 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, the driver of a white Dodge Challenger struck the man and fled the scene without stopping. Afterwards, a second vehicle struck the victim.
The driver of the second vehicle reported the accident to the authorities and remained to cooperate with the investigations.
Responding officers pronounced the man dead the scene. Police identified the victim as 58-year-old Paul Sigler.
At this time, police said it is unknown whether the victim walked inside or outside the crosswalk prior the crash.
