Vehicle Crash on Highway 178 Left One Critically Hurt

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 3, 2021) – One person sustained injuries following a vehicle crash on Highway 178 Thursday afternoon.

The crash took place just after 2:15 p.m. just east of the mouth of the canyon on Highway 178, as per report.

According to the CHP, a red truck veered off the road for reasons unknown. Inside, one individual received moderate to severe injuries.

Additionally, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the deadly crash.

The crash left the traffic congested as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage.
