Plane Collision in San Diego Neighborhood Kills Doctor and UPS Driver
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 12, 2021) – Early Monday afternoon, Sugata Das and Steve Krueger were killed in a San Diego plane crash.
Onlookers in Souther California watched a Cessna 340A, a twin engine passenger plane, slowly descend into the residential neighborhood.
For reasons unknown, the pilot lost control of the plane. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after 12:15 p.m., on the intersection of Jeremy and Greencastle Street.
One of the deceased victims was a described as Steve Krueger, a UPS driver who was doing his routes at the time. In addition, the pilot was also identified as Dr. Sagata Das, who worked at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Arizona.
Moreover, a couple was inside one of the homes that was hit. They were later described as a 70-year-old woman, and a 75-year-old man. Both victims were injured and had to be extricated from their home.
According to reports, Das was a licensed pilot who lived in San Diego and commuted back and forth to Yuma.
The surrounding area has been evacuated and is currently being investigated. At this time, no further information has been released.
