Noela Vasquez and David Carlisle Hurt in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 62 [Twentynine Palms, CA]

Noela Vasquez and David Carlisle Identified after Collision near Lear Avenue

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (September 21, 2021) – Wednesday morning, Noela Vasquez and David Carlisle were hurt in a multi-car crash on Highway 62.

Officers reported that David Carlisle was driving a green Toyota east on Highway 62, approaching Lear Avenue. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.

Meanwhile, a northbound white Ford Explorer was heading north on Lear Avenue, attempting to turn left onto the highway. There, Carlisle drove through a red light and the two vehicles collided as a result.

The Toyota then continued to spin before hitting a nearby curb and coming to stop. Both occupants, 52-year-old David Carlisle and 52-year-old Noela Vasquez of Desert Hot Springs, were extricated from the vehicle. Medics took them both to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities do not currently believe that alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.

There has been no update on the current condition of the victims at this time.
