62-Year-Old Woman Killed in Two-Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway [Ventura, CA]

Major Two-Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Kills 1 and Injures 4

VENTURA, CA (September 14, 2021) – A 62-year-old woman lost her life and 4 other sustained injuries Sunday afternoon after a two-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The deadly two-vehicle crash happened just before 1:00 p.m.Saturday, September 11 on Pacific Coast Highway.

According to the CHP, a 2001 Jeep Wrangler was driving southbound on PCH when it veered into the northbound lane for unknown reasons, colliding head-on with an oncoming 2017 Honda HRV driven by the 62-year-old Los Angeles woman.

At the scene, the Honda driver was pronounced dead. Authorities withheld her name until her next of kin was notified.

Meanwhile, medics took two passengers, a 90-year-old Santa Monica woman and a 65-year-old Los Angeles woman, to a nearby hospital for treatment after suffering major injuries.

Furthermore, the Jeep’s 39-year-old driver suffered moderate injuries, while their 34-year-old passenger suffered major injuries, both are Oxnard natives.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details about the two-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway is underway.
