Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on Lomas Boulevard [Albuquerque, NM]
Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Lomas Boulevard
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (September 9, 2021) – Sunday evening, an unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Lomas Boulevard.
The collision took place at the intersection of Lomas Boulevard and Louisiana Boulevard, as stated by the report.
According to police, the motorcyclist was heading west when a four-door sedan that was traveling eastbound suddenly turned in front of the rider, causing the motorcycle to t-bone the sedan.
Furthermore, the rider was thrown from his bike due to the crash.
The rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the University of New Mexico Hospital.
Unfortunately, the rider was later pronounced dead due to the extent of their condition. Investigators say they were wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
In addition, reports indicate that the driver of the sedan remained at the site and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factors. However, an active investigation is underway.
