Woman Hospitalized after Falling from a Moving Party Bus on Interstate 5

NATIONAL CITY, CA (September 1, 2021) A woman sustained major injuries Saturday night after falling off a bus on Interstate 5.

The accident happened around 8:11 p.m. August 28, on Interstate 5 in National City, just south of Civic Center Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was on her way to the vehicle’s restroom when she accidentally unlocked an emergency door, sending her falling down onto the freeway lanes.

As per reports, the bus pulled over and passengers, as well as other passers-by, rushed to help her.

The law requires that all drivers and their passengers wear safety belts while vehicles are moving. Not only will seat belts help you keep safe, but it also minimizes the chances of a fatal accident. Be smart and comply with seat belt requirements.
