Woman Killed in Bicycle Crash on Hesperia [HESPERIA, CA]
Box Truck Driver Left Elderly Woman on a Bicycle Dead after Collision on Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (July 27, 2021) – Police are investigating a bicycle crash involving a box truck that claimed the life of an elderly woman last Tuesday.
The deadly incident occurred around 12:05 P.M. at Cottonwood Avenue between Yucca and Main streets.
The responders arrived at the scene and discovered a white 1997 Chevrolet box truck belonging to Armando’s Furniture.
In addition, they also located the elderly victim near a white bicycle lying in the middle of the roadway.
Later on, investigators determined that the female bicyclist made a sudden left-hand turn and got broadsided by the truck behind her.
The box-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Hesperia officials are working to identify the 67-year-old woman involved in the bicycle crash.
Police are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact Deputy D. Holland or Deputy F. Zavala at the Hesperia Station, reference case #192104731.
